McCain is a Judas in Sheep's Clothing!
John McCain, determined to be President, even at the cost of GOP control of the Congress, has almost single-handedly handed the Dems their control, and managed to botch every effort of the GOP. Not, of course, to say the GOP was feckless in this adventure down failure lane. Smug thoughts of an enduring majority danced in the heads of the GOP after 2000, 2002, 2004 & they thought 2006!Hugh Hewitt has it nailed in THIS PIECE!
Read it all and know the problem. Know also that the problem is deep enough that lacking a truly open and honest review of GOP policies, actions, etc. the problem will be exacerbated in 2008....whatever way the Presidency goes! The lone prediction I make is, there are enough folks in the GOP aware of John McCain's abandonment of the GOP that he will NOT be our candidate. God, I hope I am right!
