One must read down the article to paragraph 4 to find this little nugget:

So what they are saying, in effect, the numbers are all normal, not really unexpectedly lower, and nothing should be made of it.

The internet is awash with stories, not done by the MSM, which are beginning to show the depths to which alleged scientists have gone to "fix" data to show Global Warming. My readers will know that for as long as this blog has been online (2004) I have maintained that the truth was being withheld.

- 1,697 - times the Secretary of Health and Human Services is given authority to determine or define provisions in this bill.
- 2,074 - total pages in this bill.
- 2010 - the year Americans start paying higher taxes to pay for this bill
- 2014 - the year when this bill actually starts most of the major provisions of this bill
- $6.8 million - cost to taxpayers per word
- $8 billion - the total amount of new taxes on Americans who do not buy Washington-defined health care.
- $465 billion - Cuts in Medicare at a time when it faces a $38 trillion unfunded liability to finance more government spending.
- $494 billion - total amount of new taxes in this bill
- $2.5 trillion - the real cost of the bill
- $12 trillion - our total national debt"
2. The newest indicator where this healthcare debacle will lead us is right in front of the eyes of voters...particularly women.....They have already been told about how and when to have breast exams and pap smears....by a panel which included NO breast surgeons, NO Radiologists, etc.

"fantasy." Republicans have countered the CBO estimate with a figure of their own: $2.5 trillion, an estimate that comes out of the Senate Budget Committee minority's analysis of Reid's plan.
"This is a lousy bill that's going to cost American taxpayers like mad for the rest of our lives," Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, a fierce critic of the health care legislation, told Fox News on Thursday.
Part of the problem with the CBO estimate is that it covers a 10-year period from 2010-2019 -- however, the health care reform plan is not fully implemented until 2014. That means the federal government is raking in billions in taxes and savings for the first four years without spending on the new program. The $2.5 trillion estimate is for the 10-year window starting in 2014, after implementation of the program begins.
Under the timetable in the CBO estimate, the government spends $9 billion in the first four years, but $838 billion in the last six when the overhaul goes into full force.
The revenue significantly ramps up in the latter half of the decade to keep pace with spending, but the nearly $100 billion in deficit savings in the first four years is not necessarily in the piggy bank either.
Democrats are holding up estimates that show the second decade of health care reform yields even more deficit reduction."

Then, he is now planning a use of TARP funds....you know, the ones we are printing as we go....to help curb the growing deficit. That is a brilliant solution...It gives us both the use of the funds to create a stable business community for perpetuation of the deficit, and at the same time sets up the need for a new round of TARP and/or (Lack of)Stimulus funding.

The news out today is that after months of espousing ObamaCare, but denying they were doing so, AARP is finally going to fess up openly, and endorse the now-delayed/doomed ObamaCare.
Meanwhile, their membership is fleeing like never before....this writer and his spouse included. We are tired of the AARP Liberal bent, even as they deny same and still work the Lib side like a mechanic.
I get NOTHING from AARP in discounts, representation....(REPRESENTATION????) etc. that i cannot get from a dozen other organizations.
AARP is N-O-T an organization in favor of we retireds. or about-to-be-retireds. They are, instead, a business conglomerate, using government influence to make BILLIONS!
AARP's time is past...they simply have not yet realized it.
Reality check coming folks! Sometimes your organizational skills exceed your organization. I thought the AARP was an organization to help seniors.....My Bad!....They are an organization to help themselves. I sent emails, letters, etc. for years to the AARP....my question....Where do you get these "mandate positions" on issues? I have NEVER been asked by the AARP my opinion. I have never been asked to comment upon the issues we face, or the decisions the AARP makes. In fact, after an email challenge to my friends on line (there are hundreds of us from my hometown alone) I found that NOT ONE of my fellow retirees had ever been asked to offer an opinion, expression of support, or any other item by the AARP.
Kind of makes you wonder W-H-O is making these decisions; these position-statements, etc.

The mood swing began even before the elections yesterday when it became apparent to many, including a large number of DEMs, that the day would not go well for them. Timelines for healthcare are suddenly not fixed....probably, as Glenn stated, most of the rest of Obama's agenda is also sidelined...at least until after the 2010 votes.

Yeppers, the goose that laid Washington State's golden eggs is not going to build anything else in the state. Instead they opted for a more employer-friendly state....North Carolina. Unions have a LOT less clout, and the taxes are better for the company. The State of Washington had been warned for years by Boeing.
Years ago (more than 30) I worked for Caterpillar Tractor in their East Peoria, IL plant. I was in training to become a PR hack for one of their plants, but that entailed 1st working in the actual plant. I still remember the standard phrase of all the dedicated union workers...."It ain't my tractor!"....the problem.....well, of course it was their tractor. If it was inferior, cost too much, or could not be produced by a striking work force the sale went to Komatsu!
Unions, to my way of thinking, are still the biggest stumbling block to our industrial efforts and success in world markets. Of course, they are aided by states whose friends are unions, not employers. The industrial belt is becoming the jobless belt....rapidly!

Speaking of RINOs.....How's This Suit You Newt baby?
RINO Scozzafava has now endorsed her NY 23 Democratic rival over the Independent conservative Hoffman who derailed her campaign.
The RNC dumped $900,000 into the Scozzafava campaign....Newt Gingrich ran to NY and extolled her virtues, despite her adherence to most of the liberal (Democrat) positions.
A number of well-known folks from the conservative side supported Hoffman....Palin, Pawlenty, and more. When it became apparent that Hoffman would make her campaign untenable, the RINO became a new adherent to the "Let me jump ship" philosophy. Now all the RNC & Newt have left is an empty larder, and a RINO campaigning for her Democrat opponent.
Let me hear your explanation now Newt. Guess maybe Hoffman was right to jump in. Guess the GOP establishment still has not gotten the message, but this might make the 1st baby-steps toward realization a little easier for them.

RedState covers the amateur attacks....I have been onboard with Marco Rubio from the start. Christ is no R & certainly not a conservative. When, if ever, will the GOP establishment realize they are completely out-of-touch with their conservative base? Only after they get beaten about the head & shoulders soundly several more times.
